Wendy Kale

Wendy Kale

Welcome to the Wendy Kale tribute page.  Wendy Kale was involved in the Boulder area music scene for over 40 years both promoting and later writing about music for the Colorado Daily.  We lost Wendy earlier this year to pneumonia.  Below are some links about Wendy and as time permits we will be posting articles and clips of Wendy’s local music coverage.  Feel free to share your Wendy stories and thoughts.

A memorial fund has been set up in Wendy’s name.  We are trying to raise $25,000 and need your help to spread the word and to donate.

This is from the Wendy Kale Scholarship Fund Facebook page:

Friends of Wendy Kale, including the Colorado Daily and Daily Camera, have created this fund to honor the memory of the late, long-time music writer. Wendy was found dead Aug. 2. She was 58.
Wendy covered the music scene in Boulder, Colorado, for more than 20 years.
Through her work, she gave struggling new artists hope and helped draw fans to local clubs, bars and restaurants.
Now it’s time for all of those she touched to pay it forward by giving back to Wendy.
The aim of the scholarship fund is to raise enough money to provide annual $1,000 scholarships at the University of Colorado in her name.
We need your help by donating and spreading the word about this cause.
